Multiplex signs the contract to deliver Distrikt Developments’ Distrikt Trailside Condos project

TORONTO, CANADA: Multiplex Construction Canada Ltd. (Multiplex) has been appointed Construction Manager by client Distrikt Developments to continue construction of its Distrikt Trailside Condos (Trailside) project in Oakville.

Work on the two-tower development started in 2020 under a separate Construction Management contract, and Multiplex started on the project in July 2021.

Multiplex Project Director for Distrikt Trailside Condos, Jason Poole said the project marks the beginning of a collaborative partnership between Multiplex and Distrikt Developments, as well as with the Oakville community.

“We look forward to working closely with all project partners to deliver Trailside for the Oakville community safely and with care, and to bringing our client’s vision to life,” Mr. Poole said.

The project, located at Dundas Street West and Trailside Drive, is a 541,000 square foot residential development comprising two, 10-storey mid-rise buildings, three-storey townhouses and 15,000 square feet of amenities.

Work on the first tower at 405 Dundas Street West is progressed to ground level with P1 concrete works complete and two tower cranes in operation.

Shoring and concrete works are underway on the second tower at 395 Dundas Street West, with a tower crane installed in June 2021.
