Multiplex Completes Stage One of Paddington Aged Care Project
Multiplex, a leading global contractor, has completed Stage One of The Terraces at Paddington, the $180 million over 55s community being developed at the Scottish Hospital site on Brown Street.
The Terraces at Paddington is the largest project ever undertaken by owner and operator Presbyterian Aged Care (PAC) in New South Wales.

Stage One of The Terraces at Paddington comprises of 10 independent living apartments known as Bradley Apartments, Watson’s Terrace comprising of four independent living units located on the roof level, and a 100 bed Residential Aged Care Facility.
The 100 bed Residential Aged Care Facility was tactically staged to enable the existing aged care building to remain open with all existing residents and staff guaranteed transfer to the new building once complete.
Designed by JPR Architects, The Terraces at Paddington has replaced the existing 88 bed residential aged care facility with a new 100 bed facility including a 23-bed dementia unit. Space has been created for future community care programs as well as a range of amenities such as a café and health and wellbeing centre for residents and visitors.
An additional 13 independent living units will open in the middle of 2018, with nine of them in the original heritage building.
Stage Two of The Terraces at Paddington is set to commence early November and will include 52 independent living units known as the MacCormick Apartments, a library, theatrette and seniors gym, as well as the completion of landscaping and parklands.
As part of the project, PAC is dedicating 1,300 square metres of land to the community for an expansion of the Dillon St reserve park at the north of the site.
Completion of the entire project is expected by early 2019.
