Multiplex has completed the Perth City Busport

Multiplex has completed the Perth City Busport which is Australia’s first dynamic stand-allocation underground bus station. The precinct replaces the ageing Wellington Street Bus Station and is set to provide Perth commuters with a modern and sophisticated transit experience.
In moving operations underground, Multiplex has enabled the key thoroughfares of King and Queen Streets to reconnect Perth to the Northbridge entertainment precinct for the first time in a century. The precinct that stretches over 13.5 hectares will now also inject a mix of transit, commercial, residential and retail facilities into the area.
The new bus station comprises a 195 metre long underground bus loop and passenger lounge that is capable of facilitating the routes of up to 200 buses per hour.
The new terminal is a key component of the $4 billion Perth City Link project which merges an extensive network of bus, rail and pedestrian upgrades to ensure seamless connectivity across the site to cater for population growth into the future.
