We are pleased to announce that Multiplex has successfully completed the Roy Hill Mine Accommodation Village for Roy Hill Iron Ore Pty Ltd in Western Australia.

Located approximately 270km south of Port Headland and 15km from the Roy Hill mine area, the newly completed master planned community features 400 rooms with a range of dwelling types to accommodate up to 2,000 permanent mine staff and construction workers. The variety in dwelling types will ensure accommodation can be adjusted to meet the changing requirements of the Roy Hill project over the coming years.

The $190 million precinct spans 78 hectares, offering accommodation and a range of facilities including central sporting and entertainment amenities, shared domestic facilities, shift change areas, gymnasium, pool, and administration and management centres.

The successful delivery of each of these high level amenities aligns with Roy Hill Iron Ore’s corporate vision of establishing ‘a better place to work’.

Over the duration of the project, Multiplex completed a range of works including the design and construction of a temporary fly camp, bulk and detailed earthworks, in-ground hydraulic and electrical services, landscaping, a waste water treatment plant and aerodrome building.

To complete the project, Multiplex had a peak construction force of over 200 workers and engaged local Australian contractors and businesses across a range of trades.
