RoSPA Scotland Trophy for children's hospital construction project in Edinburgh
Multiplex was named as the 2017 winner of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Scotland Trophy for their Health and Safety Awards in Glasgow.
The trophy, RoSPA’s highest Scottish award, was given in recognition of our exemplary approach to the safety of our staff and visitors on the Royal Hospital for Sick Children and Department of Clinical Neurosciences site in Edinburgh.
Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of qualifications, awards and events, said that our submission “evidenced a well-developed safety management system that is implemented very effectively.”
Now in its 61st year, this is the largest and longest-running occupational health and safety awards programme in the UK. It recognises businesses’ commitment to continuous improvement in preventing accidents and ill health at work, examining entrants’ health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
The team were also highly commended in the Construction Commercial Industry Sector of the awards scheme.
