Makeover of an iconic office tower in the heart of Sydney.

A transformational refurbishment, enhancing the structure initially built in 1976.

388 George Street is an A-Grade commercial office building with new flagship retail space and a five-storey pavilion. The iconic 1970s building has been rejuvenated and the 28 storey structure is now a contemporary, world-class mixed-use development in the heart of Sydney.

New services, lifts and finishes have been installed and modifications to the five four-level atria that intersect the building have also been successfully executed. In addition to the current features, state-of-the-art end-of-trip facilities have been installed and an upgraded connectivity to George St for the benefit of businesses, commuters, locals and visitors.

In an Australian first, Multiplex has also installed the nation’s first structural glazed revolving doors in the foyer’s entry. 388 George St is also the first building in Australia to recycle old workstations into new product, with approximately 19 tonnes of existing desktop materials recovered and converted for the new office space.
