Deloitte Headquarters Fit Out, Toronto

Deloitte Headquarters Fit Out, Toronto

Multiplex was engaged to provide pre-construction and construction management services under a Construction Management at Risk contract for the commercial fit out of Deloitte’s new Toronto Headquarters. This LEED Gold certified fit out consists of 19 office tower floors and six podium levels in the Multiplex built Bay Adelaide Centre East Tower and Podium (BAE) and was delivered as a separate construction management contract directly with Deloitte. The 400,000 sq. ft. fit out construction commenced while base build construction of BAE was ongoing, requiring a great deal of collaboration between our construction teams in order to coordinate efficient project delivery and phased occupancy of the tower floors.

The podium of BAE is exclusively used by Deloitte and includes a ground floor bistro and a commercial kitchen for internal catering. One of the design focal points of the Deloitte Headquarters Fit Out is the unique floating staircase in the six-storey atrium, which required careful consideration to ensure safe working conditions during construction.

The Deloitte Headquarters Fit Out has created a future focused space. Work spaces are flexible and adaptable, with partitions able to be modified to accommodate the type of work and size of group in a space. These work spaces support many different types of collaboration and ways of working, while also facilitating teamwork, knowledge sharing and the enhancement of staff wellness. The integration of advanced technologies throughout also allows the spaces and services to be controlled and measured in order to maximize utilization and efficiency.

The Deloitte Headquarters Fit Out is a shining example of Multiplex’s ability to complete complex high-rise commercial office tower interior fit-out projects which feature innovative, adaptive and integrated technology systems and achieve high sustainability targets.
