PROJECTS

New Residences of Yorkville Plaza, Toronto

Multiplex was engaged as the Construction Manager under a construction management contract to rebuild the gateway to Yorkville with the conversion of the existing Four Season’s Hotel into luxury condominiums. Multiplex had to strip the building down to its structure and completely reskin the building with an improved energy efficient building envelope system. In addition, entirely new mechanical and electrical systems were installed as well as re-purposing the hotel rooms in condo units.

The distinguished style and architecture of the existing 496 unit 32-storey Four Season’s Hotel (North tower of the Yorkville Plaza complex) is anchored by a contemporary two-storey glass podium featuring an impressive retail envelope that revitalizes a large commercial footprint along Yorkville Avenue and Avenue Road.

Vertical glass accents rise from the podium to highlight Yorkville Plaza and animate this internationally recognized corner. The converted hotel offers a selection of one and two-bedroom suites as the complete overhaul of each floor provided a collection of international suite designs reminiscent of the famous Four Seasons in New York, Paris, Milan and London.
