TORONTO, CANADA: Multiplex Construction Canada (‘Multiplex’) has achieved practical completion on the St. John's McNicoll Centre (SJMC) senior’s residence in Scarborough, Ontario.

The 185,422 square foot development brings 177 retirement residential units, below-grade parking for 114 vehicles and communal activity spaces to the Scarborough community.

“Despite the unique challenges of 2020, the project was delivered on time for the people of Scarborough. It was the dedication of our trade partners and our team’s unwavering commitment to outperformance that brought this project to life, and I am proud beyond words,” SJMC Project Director, Jason Poole said.

Multiplex worked in close collaboration with client St. John's McNicoll Centre, consultants CXT Architects and trades to deliver the high quality, 14-storey residence.

Construction started in July 2018 and full occupancy was achieved in October 2020.
