Specialised AI data centre enabling secure, scalable, high density workloads

NEXTDC S6 is Australia’s first data centre designed specifically to support AI factories and sovereign AI platforms.

Located in Artarmon alongside the recently completed S3 facility, the project is being developed to deliver 4,000m² of technical space and a target IT capacity of 13.5MW, providing high resilience infrastructure for a wide range of AI workloads.

Multiplex was engaged as managing contractor to deliver Phase 1 Stage 1 works. This stage included the fitout of an operational data hall, recommissioning of existing services, and upgrades to physical and electrical security systems in line with NEXTDC’s standards. The team also completed the refurbishment of office and front of house areas to support future operations.

The project forms part of NEXTDC’s broader Sydney expansion strategy, enhancing capability at Gore Hill Business Park while ensuring continuity of operations for existing customers.
