Beachfront redevelopment revitalising care, residential and commercial spaces

Bound by Wentworth Street and South Steyne in Manly, Multiplex is delivering Royal Far West’s Aurora redevelopment, a major mixed-use precinct integrating residential apartments, retail and commercial tenancies, medical facilities, guest accommodation, basement parking and landscaped public areas.

The project also includes revitalisation of the Centre for Country Kids building and partial demolition and refurbishment of the existing Drummond House.

Delivery on a constrained beachfront site requires careful planning, staging and coordination across multiple building uses. Key works include structural refurbishment, adaptive reuse and the construction of new mixed-use buildings within an active health and community environment. Dewatering management forms an important component of the construction methodology, supporting excavation and basement works while maintaining programme certainty and site safety.

The redevelopment strengthens Royal Far West’s long-term presence in Manly by improving accommodation for country families and supporting healthcare-related services alongside residential, retail and commercial uses. By combining refurbishment and new-build delivery within a single integrated precinct, the project creates enduring community value while modernising facilities that support children and families accessing specialist care.
