Multiplex’s Kids’ Book – how we connected with families during lockdown.

Multiplex Family Days are an opportunity to share our pride in what we do at Multiplex with our loved ones. With many of these events unable to go ahead over the past two years, we came up with a different way to connect families and bring a positive spin to challenging times.

We put the call out to Multiplex kids, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews to help create our very own kids’ book, The Building of a Building.

The Building of a Building describes a typical project cycle through the eyes of a child. It was written by National Marketing Manager, Suzie Hollott, with base illustrations by Victorian graduate Emma Wallace.

It was the job of the kids to add the finishing touches, with a drawing competition to create drawings that could be used alongside Emma’s illustrations.

The competition drew entries from more than 70 junior contributors and with such great talent to choose from we just had to pick them all.  

The Building of a Building launched in early 2021, and was brought to life again during Book Week with a read-along by Senior Operations Coordinator Bill Manning aka Bill the Builder.
