Multiplex appointed contract for phase two of the Television Centre redevelopment
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM. Multiplex will deliver phase two of the Television Centre for Stanhope PLC and Mitsui Fudosan as Construction Management Partners. The scheme involves the construction of 345 luxury apartments across two adjacent plots, designed by Stirling prize-winning architectural practices dRMM and AHMM, with enabling works and site preparation works scheduled to commence in Q3 of 2023.
The two new residential buildings, constructed adjacent to the Grade II listed building at White City (phase one), which was previously the home of the BBC for 50 years before its relocation in 2013, delivers much needed housing to the area and further opens up the site to local residents, with a second entrance on Wood Lane and pedestrian connection through to Hammersmith Park. On completion of the enabling works, main construction is due to commence in 2024 and is expected to complete by 2026.
Callum Tucket, Managing Director of Multiplex said: “We are thrilled at the opportunity to work alongside Stanhope and Mitsui Fudosan to manage and deliver Television Centre Phase 2.
