Prestigious office tower

The Citigroup Centre on Park Street is one of Sydney’s most prestigious office towers.

Completed in 2000, it boasts in excess of 80,000 m2 of net lettable space. Multiplex was responsible for the construction of the 55-level project and the comprehensive fit-out of the building.

The Citigroup Centre and the adjacent Galleries Victoria form a mixed-use CBD development. The development draws on the retail podium to minimise the impact of the 54-storey high-rise commercial office tower. It utilises light, shade and a warm colour palette that also complements the two heritage buildings on the three-sided city block site.

The tower diminishes in size at its peak, where it is crowned by a unique roof form of projecting awnings that culminate in a spire. It adds an element of diversity to Sydney’s skyline.

Smart glass technology and large floor plates create optimal conditions and reduces emissions, while dedicated lift banks offer rapid access to floors.

The site enjoys unrivalled convenience and accessibility. Town Hall train station and public transport options are situated immediately adjacent to the building, along with frontages to George, Pitt and Park Streets. The Multiplex-built carpark offers over 250 tenant and visitor parking spaces.

Offices boast views across the city to the harbour, the latest in cutting-edge technology and exceptional environmental standards. Multiplex undertook the fit-out for the specialised use, office and carpark facilities. Fit-outs were customised according to the tenant. The ground floor includes a banking chamber, while office fit-outs above included flexible offices, workstations, a kitchen and staff breakout areas.

The Citigroup Building was awarded an Excellence in Construction, Master Builders Association (MBA) Australia Award in 2001.
