Extending NEXTDC’s world class operation of data centres across Australia

NEXTDC P2 is Western Australia’s first Uptime Institute Tier IV certified data centre and the second NEXTDC facility delivered in the state.

Located in East Perth, the project addressed growing demand for resilient, high performance digital infrastructure.

Multiplex completed the P2 data centre in July 2020. The development comprised five levels of data halls, two power floors, a ground floor front of house and client suites, and a part basement, establishing a robust platform for high density compute operations.

Following the successful completion of P2, Multiplex was engaged to deliver the P2 White Space and Infrastructure Expansion Fitout Works in July 2022. This included providing 3.9 MW of initial IT capacity, reserving a further 3.5 MW for future growth, deploying additional critical infrastructure and fitting out several cold shell halls to white space level.Customer specific fitouts were also completed across two halls.

The project reached completion in April 2023, strengthening P2 as a scalable, future ready data centre.
