S3 Sydney caters to the rising demand for data centres to manage and secure Australia’s critical digital infrastructure
NEXTDC S3 Sydney is a high rise, hyperscale data centre on Sydney’s lower North Shore, forming part of NEXTDC’s interconnected network with S1 and S2.
The facility delivers more than 26,000 m² of data halls and ancillary infrastructure across nine levels, including over 20,000 m² of critical IT space.
Stage One achieved Tier IV Certification from the Uptime Institute, and main works completed in June 2023. We continue to support S3 through infrastructure expansion and tenancy specific fit out contracts, extending the capability of the facility.
The structure uses a hybrid scheme of reinforced and post tensioned concrete with structural steel, chosen for its ability to support heavy plant, equipment and high density services. Working on a constrained urban site, we stage the works while Stage One remains operational, coordinating plant installation, services integration and vertical logistics to maintain safe, continuous delivery.
Our delivery approach establishes a resilient, scalable data centre that supports NEXTDC’s growing digital ecosystem.
