1 Denison commercial office tower tops out

Multiplex constructed the 158-metre tower (above street level), making it the tallest building in North Sydney defined by a unique façade by Bates Smart Architects.

Over 80 per cent of the building is now leased to several high-profile corporate companies including Nine, Microsoft and SAP. SAP recently expanded from 5,700 to 9,400 sqm and is located on levels 11 to 15.

He added, 1 Denison will become a defining landmark on North Sydney's skyline amongst several new hotels that are moving into the area. When completed over 6,000 people will reside in the building.

To date, more than 2,700 construction workers and 36,400 cubic metres of concrete have been used in the delivery of 1 Denison.

"It has been fantastic to watch this unique landmark come to life and we are pleased to have achieved this significant milestone for Winten," said David Ghannoum, Regional Managing Director at Multiplex.

As well as installing curved glass panels to create the inclined façade, Multiplex has been challenged by the tight site, with building works occurring from boundary to boundary and many other large sites within close proximity.

"It's a busy site in a precinct experiencing revival, and it's great to be a part of it," said Mr Ghannoum.

1 Denison has a total net lettable area of 61,600 sqm across 39 storeys and is expected to achieve a minimum 5 Star Green Star rating from the Green Building Council of Australia as well as 5 Star NABERS rating and Gold WELLS rating.

The premium office tower features a perimeter core with floor plates ranging from 1,336 sqm to 2,518 sqm across three rises, a two-level lifestyle precinct and basement parking for 225 cars. It is positioned in the new heart of North Sydney and is located between the new Victoria Cross Metro station and North Sydney Train Station.

The project is scheduled for completion in September 2020.
