TORONTO, CANADA: The Bay Adelaide Centre – North Tower project is celebrating a significant milestone with the final structural steel beam lift and installation.

The final beam – platinum-coated to symbolize the project’s LEED Platinum target – was ceremoniously lifted into place at L33 roof level.

“A final beam lift is always significant for a project, and Bay Adelaide North’s is made even more impressive in the context of the past 18 months,” Multiplex Canada Director of Operations, Pedro Duarte said.

Adorned with a symbolic tree and the flags of Walters Group, Iron Workers Local 721 and Multiplex, the beam was crane lifted 137 meters above Temperance Street in Toronto’s Financial District to complete the project’s steel structure.

The achievement brings Multiplex another step closer to project completion in 2022.
