Multiplex completes fourth building at Portside Wharf
Multiplex has finished construction of the $68 million Promenade apartment building at Portside Wharf in Hamilton - the fourth building in the masterplanned community.
Developed by Brookfield Residential Properties, the 15 level tower features 172 apartments and will inject a further 250 residents into the precinct, in addition to the 350 residents who already call Portside Wharf home.
The construction of Promenade took about 18 months and generated more than 450 construction jobs.
"Portside Wharf is an iconic address that offers both an amazing lifestyle and a vibrant social hub for residents. We are very pleased to deliver the latest high quality addition to this prestigious waterfront precinct", said Rod McDonald, Queensland Regional Managing Director at Multiplex.
Once complete in 2017, Portside Wharf will comprise 11 residential buildings and more than 9,300 square metres of retail space.
The precinct has already developed a reputation as a landmark Brisbane lifestyle destination, featuring some of the city's best restaurants, boutiques and cinemas. It also houses the Brisbane Cruise Ship Terminal.
