A world-class, high rise residential development
Swanston Central is a 71 level residential tower which also includes the refurbishment of the heritage listed, former Carlton United Breweries building in the centre of Melbourne’s CBD.
Swanston Central is a modern addition to Melbourne's inner-city skyline. Comprising of 1,045 high end apartments in a mix of one and two bedroom configurations across 71 levels, the development offers residents panoramic views across Melbourne. The development also features various high end facilities for residents to take advantage of, including private dining rooms, golf simulators, games rooms and an exclusive sky lounge on Level 69.
A range of innovative construction techniques were used by Multiplex in construction, including the use of precast formwork to build outriggers on the face of Levels 22, 47 and 48, the installation of the entire curtain wall behind screens to improve safety and swivel arm technology to install curtain wall glass to free-standing hero columns which eliminated the need for tower or mobile cranes.
