A world-class cultural icon for Sydney

The New Sydney Fish Market is a flagship project for the NSW Government, supporting vital tourism and the fishing industry.

Located in Blackwattle Bay, Multiplex will deliver over 6,000 square metres of new public space in a four-storey market hall setting with new restaurants, cafés, bars, fishmongers and specialty food retailers, as well as new public promenades, offices, commercial space and a ferry wharf.

The new Sydney Fish Market is also set to deliver much-needed technology upgrades, including improved facilities for seafood trade.

The innovative design includes a distinctive wave-shaped and scale-patterned roof that pays homage to the fishing industry. Another feature of the new design is a more visibly accessible auction area that gives the visiting public a deeper understanding of the seafood supply chain.
